Getting around in The Cayman Islands
-
Car hire
It might have been the lure of the superb beaches and ideal temperatures that attracted you to the Cayman Islands. Whilst most people will be eager to get out on the sand and take a dip in the crystal clear sea, some may feel that their holiday isnt complete until they have an opportunity to explore the islands in their own time.
Regardless of whether you favour a relaxing drive through the tropical landscape or an exhilarating trip soaking up the local scenery, rental options on every island are available to accommodate you.
They drive on the left, petrol is inexpensive, roads are good, cars air-conditioned and the fabulous hospitality of the locals will ensure that you never get lost. So what are you waiting for?
Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman are all relatively flat, which make moped and bike hire a practical option. Either of the smaller islands are particularly great for exploring on two wheels given the lack of traffic. In fact the only place we know to have ever seen a traffic jam is Georgetown, the capital at rush hour.
Car Rental is available on all of the islands and should be booked in advance.
