Description: Located in Grand Cayman's tranquil East End, 45 minutes from the airport, this resort offers relaxed vacations and cooling ocean breezes. Attractions include a 1,600-foot beach featuring snorkeling opportunities right off shore, two pool complexes with spa tubs, and a scuba-diving center. Studios with four-poster king beds and oval spa tubs, one-bedroom suites, and two-bedroom condos all include beachfront balconies or patios with full ocean views. The Reef Resort, Cayman’s only all beachfront resort, opened in 2000 with initially 60 suites and has since grown to 110 Caribbean style furnished Suites. Most popular with honeymooners is our Deluxe Studio with whirlpool tub, but with four categories we cater for couples on a romantic getaway as well as for families on a beach vacation and also for wedding groups and corporate retreats. All units are fully air-conditioned, equipped with either kitchenette or full kitchen and are non-smoking. Picturesque views of East End’s breath-taking coastline is the perfect setting for Castaways’ Restaurant & Hideaway Beach Bar & Grill. As one of the Reef’s crown jewels, Hideaway Beach Bar & Grill with its outdoor patio surrounded by tiki torches and the sound of the ocean lapping on the beach, complemented by the wonderful beat of Caribbean and Latin music is the ideal location for your chilled cocktail and alfresco dining (serving lunch & dinner). Hideaway’s Restaurant, located on the upper floor, offers air-conditioned dining and open-air terrace with panoramic view. Breakfast and dinner is served with starters such as crab cakes, conch ceviche, coconut shrimp, and main courses include lobster, steak, pasta, shrimp/crab-crusted Mahi Mahi. Live entertainment by Caribbean’s famed artist ‘The Barefoot Man’. Graced by palm trees, the Reef Resort's 1,600-foot beachfront offers un-crowded sunbathing, with coral heads right off the beach for snorkeling and two areas for sand-bottom swimming. A reef 300 yards offshore generally keeps the water flat. Two pool complexes offer freshwater swimming. One complex comprises two rock-lined foliage-fringed freeform pools with a children's pool in the middle featuring a dolphin fountain. One pool measures 75 feet long and is bordered by a rock waterfall. The other measures 40 feet and features a central infinity edge. The complex includes a rock-lined eight-person spa tub. The second pool complex comprises an 80-foot-long freeform pool and a six-person spa tub. Caribbean’s no #1 dive operator Ocean Frontiers offers Valet Diving to all our guests. Available for our guests is also an internet café, dive boutique, bicycle rentals, a flood lit tennis court and coin operated laundry facilities. Concierge services are available before your arrival as well as on site for all your needs.
